About Neese Gray Theatre
The Andrew J. and Georgia Neese Gray Theatre is located in the Garvey Fine Arts Center on Washburn's campus. The acoustically-designed thrust theatre is the site of sophisticated plays and musicals, from classical to contemporary. The seating capacity is 330 with several premium views compliant with ADA regulations.
The Neese Gray Theatre Lobby is our adjoining area with space for local artists and Washburn students to exhibit their works.
Located in the Garvey Fine Arts Center
- Parking: Use Lot #10 South on Jewell from 17th Street.
- You may enter Garvey (GC) on the West through the courtyard.
- ADA entrance is South doors on the East side of Garvey.
- ADA parking, also, East of Garvey in lot #18 North of Morgan.
Production Shops
Costume Shop and Costume Inventory
Our costume shop is outfitted with Bernina sewing machines, a large workspace and class area, excellent lighting and an extensive costume inventory.
Scene Shop and Prop Storage
The scene shop is a well-lighted complete shop with wood and metal fabrication capabilities. We have a large furniture and prop storage area adjacent to the costume storage area.
