2024-2025 Scholarship Applications Are Now Open!
Now is the time to apply for a School of Business scholarship for next year. School of Business scholarships do not automatically renew, so if you received one this year, it is important that you re-apply for next year. If you did not get an award this year, that’s okay, you can still apply for an award next year. To be eligible for an award, you must:
- Be declared as a Business student and be making normal progress towards a BBA (all majors) or BA in Economics degree
- Maintain a cumulative college GPA of 3.25 or higher (the higher the GPA, the better the award)
- Submit this year’s School of Business Scholarship Application Form no later than February 15, 2024

- Our new BBA in Business Data Analytics program provides students with the skill sets needed to transform big data into information for data-driven decision making.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
- In our BBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, you’ll learn how to build a successful business from the ground up. You'll also learn how to generate ideas, analyze markets, recognize and assess opportunities and develop marketing/financial plans.
FINANCE
- Our Finance curriculum is designed to prepare students for careers in corporate financial management, commercial banking, security analysis, government services, insurance, real estate, and other finance fields and for graduate study.

MAcc
- The accounting field offers more than just working with numbers – it allows for management opportunities and the chance to work in a key role for a growing company. Our Master of Accountancy program is designed for motivated individuals who want to take charge and lead the accounting industry.

Meet A Bizbod: Abigail McCrory
Abigail McCrory, a junior from Rossville, has already accomplished quite a bit midway through her third year at Washburn. The Marketing and Entrepreneurship major won last year's Pitch Competition, finished second in this year's and was named to the Magnificent Seven as one of the top students in the Business School. Abigail is working toward owning and operating her own mobile coffee shop.

International Business Experience
The world is your classroom with International Business and Entrepreneurial Experience (BU 406), a unique international course that combines a hands-on business education with a multi-cultural study abroad experience. Washburn students work in teams with students in Asia and Europe to solve business problems for companies in the U.S. and overseas.
