The Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing offers a curriculum designed to prepare students as a professional nurse. The program is 4 academic years in length; the first 2 years students will complete pre-requisite/general education requirements and are admitted to the School of Nursing your Junior year. Graduates are prepared to function as generalists in nursing and assume entry-level positions.
Clinical placements for nursing students are located throughout the Northeast region of the state. It is likely that you will be asked to commute to at least one clinical site outside of Topeka.
Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the National Licensing Examination (NCLEX) to be licensed as a registered nurse.
