
Student Orientation Counselors
Student Orientation Counselors (SOCs) are current Washburn students who are here to help with your transition to college at Washburn University. SOCs are student who like to welcome new students and share their college experience with new students and families. Each year, we look to create a team of diverse identities, represent various different majors, hometowns, and involvement.
Applications will open for 2026 in November 2025
The Student Orientation Counselor is a paid, hourly position for currently enrolled Washburn students. Students must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA and plan to be enrolled for Fall 2026 semester.
