Ichabod Days are events where you and your friends can explore Washburn together and get all of your questions answered about the admissions process, options for paying for college, housing on campus and much more! Whether you're a high school senior, junior or sophomore, we have events just for you!

Admitted Senior Days

Seniors who have been admitted to Washburn are invited to check out campus on their own dedicated day. Learn more about your major, talk with current students and enjoy lunch at Lincoln Dining. You could even win a drawing for a $1,500 scholarship! Admitted Senior Days for 2024-25 are scheduled for the following dates:

  • Friday, Jan. 31, 2025
  • Friday, Feb. 28, 2025

Ichabod Day

Ichabod Day provides high school seniors and juniors with a detailed look at academics and student life at Washburn. You’ll explore the extracurricular opportunities that can enrich your academic experience and the many student resources we offer to help you be successful in college. Also, you could win a drawing for a $1,500 scholarship! 

Meet professors and current Ichabods, take a tour of campus and meet your future classmates in a fun setting. You’ll even get to sample Washburn’s food because we’ll treat you to lunch! The first Ichabod Day for 2024-25 was on Oct. 25. Please visit this page for updates on future events.

Ichabod Sophomore/Junior Day

It’s never too early to connect with Washburn University. High school sophomores and juniors will learn about academic majors, student activities, opportunities for internships and community involvement in Topeka, as well as exciting career paths. You’ll also get a taste of Washburn’s delicious food when we treat you to lunch, and you could win a drawing for a $1,500 scholarship. Ichabod Sophomore/Junior Day for 2024-25 is:

Ichabod Leadership Days

Leadership Days at Washburn University give students the opportunity to come together with likeminded individuals and explore their opportunities as an Ichabod through the Leadership Institute. Hear from students and alumni, and explore how a Washburn education can help you forge new paths after graduation.

Select Saturday Tour

Future Ichabods can get a closer look at life on campus on a Saturday in the fall! The first Saturday Select Tour was on Oct. 19.

During this event, you'll explore our state-of-the-art facilities and learn more about attending Washburn, including scholarships, all the resources you'll have to thrive and top-notch academics.

We'll also provide you with lunch, and you'll have the option to cheer on the Ichabod football team, which hosts Missouri Southern at 1 p.m. in Yager Stadium.

Twilight Tour

Future Ichabods can get a closer look at life on campus at night on our Twilight Tour! The tour was on Oct. 29.
