Bench Press Rep Off

Participants perform as many repetitions as possible on the bench press using a predetermined weight while maintaining proper form. Winners are determined by the highest number of successful repetitions completed.
Squatober
Squatober is a month-long fitness challenge designed to build strength and consistency. Each week, participants will be assigned a different squat variation to perform. Participants earn points by completing the weekly squat challenge. Whether you're new to squatting or an experienced lifter, Squatober is a fun way to improve lower-body strength and stay motivated throughout the month.
WU Mini-Triathlon
This fun competition will assess your cardiovascular endurance and will compare your results to others in your age range on campus. The competition will run just like a Triathlon, once the time starts it will continue to run until you finish. You must complete the distances for each event: rowing, bike and treadmill plus the transition periods.
BOD Fitness Games
The Washburn University Bod Fitness Games is an exciting fitness competition held at The Rec that challenges participants through a variety of strength, endurance, and functional fitness events. Individuals will test their skills, earn points, and compete against fellow students, faculty, and staff in a fun and supportive environment. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking for a new challenge, the Bod Fitness Games is a great way to stay active, build community, and showcase your fitness.
Breakfast Club
Start your day strong with the REC Breakfast Club! Simply swipe into The Rec between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to earn points throughout the monthly challenge. Participants can rack up points by making morning workouts a habit, promoting a healthy and active start to the day. The more mornings you check in, the more points you earn and the closer you get to rewards and bragging rights!
WU Fit Ichabod
Think you're fit? Put your abilities to the test with WU Fit Ichabod, a fun and engaging fitness competition designed to measure your overall fitness level and compare your results with others in your age group across campus. Participants will be evaluated in six key fitness areas: cardiovascular endurance, lower body fitness, upper body fitness, core stability, flexibility, and balance.
