Health & Wellness
Student Health
All Washburn and Washburn Tech students are eligible to visit Student Health free of charge with a valid WU ID. Appointments are REQUIRED, including for pre-participation physicals and well women exams. There is a fee for laboratory testing. - State Library of Kansas - provides resources for braille, currency readers, job information, literacy, CEU’s and co much more.
- Assistive Technology of Kansas - provides assessment, device demonstration, equipment loans and consulting.
- Topeka Independent Living - advocacy, peer counseling, ASL/Braille, independent living skills, housing assistance, communication assistance, durable medical equipment, personal care assistance, and social/rec events.
- Smart4Me Mobile App - decision making app to help with school, work, or social interactions.
- Self Advocacy Coalition of Kansas - provides advocacy teaching to individuals with disabilities as well as legislative decision proposals.
- United Access - mobility vehicle installation, repair, and purchasing.
- Vocational Rehabilitation - assists individuals with disabilities in obtaining employment through either funding training/education or straight into the work field.
