Bods Feeding Bods is Washburn University's food and commodities pantry. We stock FREE groceries, household and hygiene items, and even books and school supplies. It is free and easy to use the pantry: just stop by during our open hours and show your WUID or share your WIN number. Then, shop the pantry like you would at a grocery store.Outposts
Pantry outposts
Currently, the Washburn Village Apartments hosts a Bods Feeding Bods outpost in their commons area. The BFB outposts stock food items, many that are ready to eat. Outposts are open whenever the building they are located in is open and do not require that you interact with a staff person to collect your items. Like the main pantry, all of the items are free to those experiencing food insecurity.
Interested in adopting an outpost on campus? Contact us at bodsfeedingbods@washburn.edu.
WU Tech online ordering
You can order online and have your items shipped to your WU Tech campus. We ship to the Huntoon campus, WU Tech East and WU Tech Cosmetology.
Community Resources
Community Resources
While Bods Feeding Bods strives to provide as many goods and services to as many students, faculty, and staff as possible our program alone isn't always sufficient to fill every need of our pantry users. For this reason, Brittany Campos, a WU Linc Bonner Scholar and volunteer at the pantry, put together an incredibly helpful list of all of the various food programs in the Topeka area, as well as other resources such as childcare and mental healthcare.
In addition to the document she put together herself she also found a resource list by HCCI Inc and has taken the time to verify that all listed programs and contact information are correct and still operational as of May 2024.
